British Airways Suspends Flights to Abu Dhabi Amid Rising Middle East Tensions

British Airways has announced the suspension of all flights to and from Abu Dhabi for the remainder of 2026, citing growing instability in the region’s airspace.

The UK flag carrier confirmed that its London–Abu Dhabi service will remain on hold as security concerns intensify amid ongoing regional tensions.

In a statement, the airline said the move follows a thorough assessment of safety risks in the Middle East, which has recently seen increased military activity, missile alerts, and drone incidents linked to escalating conflicts involving Iran and its regional allies.

“Passenger and crew safety is our utmost priority,” British Airways said. “We will continue to monitor the situation closely and resume flights only when airspace conditions are deemed safe.”
