A routine flight from Nairobi to Lagos turned into a scene of mid-air chaos after a male passenger reportedly became aggressive and attempted to force open the aircraft’s rear emergency door.
Starnews NG reports that the incident occurred on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, aboard Kenya Airways flight KQ532 traveling from Nairobi to Lagos
In-flight footage shows tense moments as passengers and crew moved quickly to restrain the man and secure the cabin. According to an official statement from Kenya Airways, the passenger became unresponsive approximately 20 minutes before landing.
Despite first-aid measures, medical personnel confirmed his passing upon arrival at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and airport police command have confirmed that a full investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances and exact cause of death.
