- Pledges Grassroots Support For Tinubu’s Reelection

Businessman and political leader, H. E. Bòsún Àrébùwà, FCA, has been appointed Patron of the Renewed Hope Project 2027, Ondo State Chapter, with his political movement, BAIPoLM, pledging its grassroots structures and resources to support the mobilisation of voters for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Àrébùwà’s position was formally announced on Monday, August 10, 2026, at the inauguration and official unveiling of the Renewed Hope Project 2027 Agenda at the Conference Hall of Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
Represented at the event by Mr. Eno Asuquo, FCA, Àrébùwà said he accepted the appointment with humility and determination, describing the Renewed Hope Agenda as an effort aimed at building a stronger, more prosperous and secure Nigeria.
He said the appointment reflected confidence in his leadership and the grassroots network of the Bòsún Àrébùwà Ìmólè Political Leadership Movement (BAIPoLM) across Ondo State.
According to Àrébùwà, BAIPoLM has established a grassroots presence across all 18 Local Government Areas of Ondo State, with its activities centred on mobilisation, community engagement, leadership development, empowerment and increased citizen participation.
He stressed that politics should go beyond elections, saying it must be about service, development, inclusion and improving people’s lives.
As part of his commitment as Patron, Àrébùwà pledged to support the Renewed Hope Project with organisational structures and logistics across Ondo State.
Among the commitments announced were fully furnished and equipped offices in both Akure, the Ondo State Capital, and in Okitipupa, support for vehicles and logistics, and access to BAIPoLM structures across all 18 LGAs in the State.
“Where organisation is required, we will organise; where coordination is needed, we will coordinate; and where support is required, we will contribute,” he said.
The Ondo political leader also expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, particularly its economic reforms.
He acknowledged that Nigerians had experienced hardship during the reform process but argued that difficult decisions were necessary to address long-standing fiscal, energy and foreign-exchange challenges.
He specifically cited the removal of petrol subsidy and foreign-exchange reforms as measures intended to create a more sustainable foundation for economic growth.
Àrébùwà said the administration’s performance should be assessed on tangible results, particularly in infrastructure, education, youth development, agriculture, power, industrial development and job creation.
He, however, stressed the need for the government to ensure that the benefits of economic growth reach ordinary Nigerians.
On the 2027 elections, Àrébùwà said Nigerians would have the opportunity to assess the Tinubu administration’s record and make their choices based on performance, vision, commitment and delivery.
He pledged that the Renewed Hope Project under his patronage would focus on grassroots mobilisation, civic engagement and communicating government policies and achievements to communities across Ondo State.
He also called for peaceful and responsible participation in the democratic process.
The Ondo political leader said the Renewed Hope Project should not merely operate as a political structure but should also serve as a platform for communicating development initiatives, mobilising citizens and strengthening confidence in Nigeria’s democratic institutions.
The National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Project 2027, Abdul Malik Jibrin, said the organisation was established to mobilise Nigerians around the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and campaign for continuity in 2027.
He said the movement had grown from a small group of supporters in Abuja into a nationwide structure with representation across the 36 states, the FCT, 774 local governments and the diaspora.
Jibrin highlighted several programmes of the Tinubu administration, including security operations, student loans, youth skills development, support for small businesses, employment initiatives, infrastructure projects, social investment programmes and reforms in the energy and foreign-exchange sectors.
He said the organisation’s strategy would include grassroots mobilisation, policy advocacy, voter education, membership registration and feedback between citizens and government.
The National Director-General of the organisation, Hon. Dauda Salihu, said the group’s primary objective was to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The appointment marks a significant political development for Àrébùwà, who has emerged as a prominent figure in Ondo State’s grassroots political mobilisation.
His appearance as Patron of the Renewed Hope Project 2027 also provides a platform for him to formally align his extensive grassroots political structures with the Tinubu-led Renewed Hope campaign.
With BAIPoLM’s structures spanning Ondo State’s 18 LGAs, the movement is expected to play a significant role in grassroots mobilisation and political engagement as preparations for the 2027 elections intensify.
Àrébùwà concluded by urging Nigerians to support reforms, encourage investment, empower young people, strengthen institutions and promote national unity.
He expressed confidence that continued implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda could lead to a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria, while calling for “Renewed Hope, continuity, progress and greater prosperity” as the guiding message towards 2027.
