Cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Ifejirika, popularly known as BLord, has publicly aligned himself with activist Omoyele Sowore’s movement following his release from detention, crediting the human rights campaigner for securing his freedom.
The development emerged on April 21, 2026, in a viral video showing the moment BLord met Sowore after leaving custody, where he expressed gratitude for the intervention that led to his release.
In the video, BLord stated that he had no prior relationship with Sowore before his arrest, saying the activist stepped in after learning of what he described as intimidation. He said, “I have never met Omoyele Sowore, but when he heard, he had to step in,” acknowledging the role played in fast-tracking his bail process.
BLord further disclosed that his bail hearing was initially scheduled for a later date but was moved forward following legal efforts linked to Sowore’s intervention.
He also symbolically joined the activist’s “Revolution Now” movement after receiving a beret from Sowore, declaring himself part of the “revolution team.”
The businessman was previously remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre over allegations including impersonation and related offences stemming from a dispute with social media critic VeryDarkMan.
The development highlights the growing intersection between activism, social media influence, and legal advocacy in Nigeria, where public figures increasingly play roles in high-profile legal and civil rights cases.
