A public school in Badas, Zungur District of Bauchi State, has reportedly been grappling with a shortage of teachers for five years, raising concerns about the quality of education available to its pupils.

The Chairman of the Badas Development Association, Muhammad Yahaya, disclosed the challenge, noting that the school has more than 300 pupils despite the prolonged teacher shortage.

Yahaya appealed to relevant education authorities and community leaders to intervene and address the situation to ensure that pupils receive the attention and quality education they deserve.

The development has raised concerns about the need for adequate teaching personnel in public schools, particularly in communities where a growing number of pupils may be affected by insufficient staffing.

He urged the relevant stakeholders to take the necessary steps to resolve the challenge and improve learning conditions at the school.
