An Open Letter to Hon. Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo: A Call to Caution Overzealous Supporters

Dear Honourable Minister,

I am writing this as a concerned stakeholder in the political progress of Ondo State and Nigeria, known for standing firmly for justice and calling out unprofessional political practices regardless of who is involved.

Just as I previously spoke out to condemn elements trying to unjustly bring you down, I find it necessary today to offer a word of strategic advice regarding the actions of some of your public supporters.

Recently, public posts from individuals claiming to promote your future political ambitions have resorted to open denigration and attacks against the sitting Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa. While political enthusiasm is expected, the approach of using insults and declaring an aggressive 2028 campaign openly in 2026 is premature and counterproductive.

It does not constitute good public relations; rather, it creates unnecessary friction. History offers a clear template for sustainable political ascendance. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his core loyalists never openly denigrated or publicly attacked President Muhammadu Buhari, maintaining institutional respect while strategically building a path forward quietly.

You possess a brilliant and undeniable future in the political space of both Ondo State and Nigeria. However, overzealous supporters who throw caution and professionalism to the wind risk dismantling the goodwill you have systematically built. Attacking a sitting governor under the guise of promoting you only serves to alienate essential party structures and paint your brand as divisive.

I strongly advise that you formally address your followers, media teams, and political foot soldiers. They must be educated on the importance of constructive engagement, decorum, and maturity.

For your long-term success, your brand must be associated with governance, delivery, and respect for leadership, rather than premature political warfare and a campaign of calumny against a governor who has nothing to lose but can help you lose what you want.

Yours sincerely,

Ondo state has political system. From the North to the South and to the Central rotational governance must be followed objectively .
