Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has ordered immediate intervention on the damaged section of the Iwaro–Oka Road in Oka-Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area of the state.

The state government said the directive followed growing concerns over the deteriorating condition of the road, which serves as an important route for residents, businesses and the transportation of goods within the community.

Following the governor’s directive, the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Abiola Olawoye, visited the affected section for an on-the-spot assessment.

Olawoye subsequently mobilised the necessary equipment and resources to commence remedial works on the damaged portion of the road.

The intervention is expected to improve access and ease the movement of residents and goods along the route.

The Ondo State Government reaffirmed its commitment to addressing critical infrastructure challenges and improving road networks across communities in the state.
