Aduro Foundation Inaugurates 6,000 liter-Solar-Powered Borehole In Ondo Community

Ondo, Nigeria – The Aduro Foundation for Humanity has officially commissioned a 6,000-litre solar-powered borehole in the Isarun community, located in the Ifedore Local Council Area of Ondo State, on Sunday.

Starnews NG reports that the project was inaugurated by Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, represented by Prince Biyi Poroye, the Chairman of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC). This initiative forms part of the foundation’s humanitarian efforts aimed at fostering a better society.

According to Dr. Aduro, the water project was done in honour of his darling wife, Hon. (Mrs) Ijimakinwa Biola, the Vice Chairman of Ifedore local government

Dr. Tony Aduro, the CEO of the Aduro Foundation, expressed his commitment to community development, stating, “Access to clean and safe drinking water is a fundamental human right. This project is dedicated to the people of Isarun, and we hope it will significantly improve their quality of life.”

Aiyedatiwa, in his remarks through Prince Poroye, emphasised the importance of such initiatives for the community, saying, “Today marks a significant step towards ensuring that our communities have access to essential resources. We must continue to work together with organisations like the Aduro Foundation to uplift our people and provide them with the support they deserve.”

Aduro Foundation is committed to improving lives through various charitable initiatives aimed at addressing critical needs in communities across Nigeria. By focusing on projects such as clean water access, education, and health care, the Aduro Foundation seeks to empower individuals and uplift communities, fostering a better quality of life for all.

The commissioning ceremony attracted several dignitaries, including Bidemi Joshua Obayangban, Special Assistant to the Governor on Forestry; Prince Segun Omoyofunmi, Commissioner for Youth and Sports; and Hon. Chris Ayebusiwa, Member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Okitipupa Constituency I.

The event also saw the presence of Hon. Dr. Gbenga Fasua, Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Ondo State, and Hon. Dipo Ajibola, the Executive Chairman of Ifedore Local Government, along with councillors and members of the legislative arm of Ifedore Local Government.

Traditional rulers, including His Royal Majesty Oba Joseph Adebobola, the Asarun of Isarun, and Oba Oluleke David Ogunlade, the Olubule of Ibule Soro, were also in attendance, marking the significance of the event in the local community.

The commissioning of the solar-powered borehole is expected to greatly enhance access to safe drinking water for the residents of Isarun, reflecting the foundation’s commitment to improving the quality of life in the region.
