The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has unveiled its campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections, bringing serving and former political office holders into the party’s campaign structure.
The list was released on Thursday through the X handle of the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre.
Under the advisory structure, Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi will serve as Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council, while Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is listed as Advisory Council Chairman.
Former Lagos governors Babatunde Raji Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode are named Co-Chairmen.
Other members of the advisory leadership include Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu; Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly; former Minister of Health, Senator Adeleke Mamora; and senior lawyers Dr Muiz Banire, SAN, and Babatunde Ogala, SAN.
At the operational level, Sanwo-Olu will chair the Lagos APC Campaign Council, with his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, serving as Deputy Chairman.
Cornelius Ojelabi, Mudashiru Obasa and Damilola Sonayon James are listed as Vice Chairmen I, II and III respectively.
Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro will serve as Director-General, while Rasaq Ajala is Deputy Director-General and Adekunle Olayinka is Campaign Secretary.
The campaign council has also established directorates and sub-committees covering legal and compliance, party and inter-party affairs, administration and logistics, traditional institutions, diaspora engagement and residents’ associations.
The Legal and Compliance Directorate will be headed by Lawal Pedro, SAN, with Niji Kazeem, SAN, as Deputy Director. Kemi Pinheiro, SAN, Supo Shashore, SAN, and Professor Yemi Oke, SAN, are also listed among senior members of the legal structure, while Salu-Hundeyin will serve as secretary.
The Party and Inter-Party Affairs Directorate will be led by Moshood Mayegun, with Wasiu Banjo as Deputy Head.
Adekunle Olayinka and Thomas Da-Silva will oversee the Secretariat Administration and Logistics Directorate as Director and Deputy Director respectively.
The special duties structure assigns Chief Kunle Odufuwa to Traditional Institutions, Gbolahan Gbadamosi to Diaspora Engagement, with Jermaine Sanwo-Olu as Deputy Head, while Azeez Aremu Amusat will oversee Residents Associations, CDAs and Estates.
Grassroots mobilisation will be coordinated across the state’s Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas.
The formal inauguration of the campaign council is scheduled for 10am on Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, Lagos.
