2027: Sani Calls On North-West To Back Tinubu’s Re-election

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has urged residents of the North-West to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term, arguing that the region should reciprocate the benefits it has received from the Federal Government through electoral support.

The governor made the appeal on Saturday through his Special Adviser on Politics, Abubakar Muhammad Mamadi, at the inauguration of coordinators and members of the “Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” support group for the seven North-West states in Kaduna.

Representing Sani at the event, Mamadi said the North-West had recorded significant gains from the Tinubu administration, particularly in agriculture, education, youth empowerment and programmes targeted at women.

He maintained that the North, and particularly the seven states that make up the North-West geopolitical zone, had received considerable attention from the current administration.

“No region has benefited under Tinubu’s administration like the North, particularly the seven states in the North-West region,” Mamadi said.

The governor charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to take the message of the administration’s policies and achievements to communities across the region.

He also tasked them with mobilising support for Tinubu at the grassroots ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The support group comprises members from Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto and Zamfara states.

Its convener, Mike Auta, urged members to intensify their mobilisation efforts, stressing that the campaign should extend beyond major urban centres to smaller communities across the region.

Auta said the group’s objective was to build widespread grassroots support for Tinubu ahead of the election.

“Go to all nooks and crannies of the states and mobilise the people. We must ensure victory for President Tinubu come 2027,” he said.

The group’s women’s leader, Karima Abdullai, also called on women in the region to support Tinubu’s re-election.

She claimed that millions of women had benefited from various cash assistance and empowerment initiatives introduced by the administration.

Abdullai expressed the belief that women would continue to benefit from government programmes if Tinubu returned for a second term.

Meanwhile, the Director of Town Hall Engagement and Special Duties, Farida Ahmed Bala, urged Nigerians to exercise patience with the Federal Government.

Bala described the administration’s current phase as a period of rebuilding and restructuring, comparing the task of restoring the country to the renovation of a neglected house.

“Let us be honest with ourselves, rebuilding a nation is not easy,” she said.

She added that patience was necessary for the country to achieve sustainable progress and prosperity.

The organisers said the Kaduna event represented the beginning of a broader mobilisation exercise expected to extend across the seven states of the North-West as the 2027 presidential election approaches.
