2027: Ode-Aye Old Students Obtain APC Nomination Forms for Obayangban

Ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria, the Old Students Association of Ultimate International High School, Ode-Aye, Ondo State, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for Hon. Bidemi Joshua Obayangban , popularly known as OC General.

This move comes in preparation for the party’s primary for the House of Representatives seat in Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency.

This announcement was made today in a statement released by the Alumni President, Engr. Kolawole Olasanmi. The association revealed that its members unanimously resolved to purchase the APC forms for Obayangban after other party aspirants from the federal constituency opted for direct primaries, having rejected the consensus arrangements.

“Since other aspirants have bought the forms and opted for direct primaries due to dissatisfaction with the APC’s consensus arrangements, we do not see why Obayangban should not participate in the direct primaries,” Olasanmi stated.

He continued, “If you look at the situation, there are four aspirants vying for the ticket. One of them has been adopted by the party, while two others have chosen to purchase their forms for direct primaries. Obayangban, who is the most popular among them, should not sit back when the opportunity to demonstrate his popularity to the party is now available.”

“Of what benefit would it be for him to remain on the sidelines when it is clear that the party is obligated to conduct direct primaries?” Olasanmi added.

He further emphasised, “Whether he participates or not, the primary will still be conducted since two notable individuals have already purchased forms and shown interest in the primaries.”

The group expressed confidence in Obayangban’s chances, stating, “We are very sure of his victory, and this conviction informed our decision. Unless the primary does not hold, if it does, Obayangban will emerge victoriously, and we will do our best to monitor the process and conduct of the primary with the best technology available.”

Meanwhile, in a demonstration of their solidarity with Obayangban’s aspiration, the Old Students Association of Ultimate International High School announced last week the donation of Fifty Million Naira (₦50,000,000) as a support fund.

“The contribution reflects not merely financial support, but our collective faith in Obayangban’s candidacy and our desire to see a member of the association rise to serve at the national level,” the group stated.
