The African Democratic Congress, ADC, governorship candidate in Kebbi State, Abubakar Chika Malami, has formally flagged off his campaign for the 2027 election, with his campaign council promising an issue-based approach focused on improving the welfare of residents.

The Director-General of the ADC Campaign Council in the state, Alhaji Sani Tadurga, disclosed this on Wednesday at a press conference held at Asbir Hotel, Birnin Kebbi.

Tadurga said the campaign represented what he described as a “rescue mission” aimed at repositioning Kebbi State, rather than pursuing political interests for personal gains.

He said an administration led by Malami would prioritise critical sectors, including healthcare, education, security and agriculture, while working to improve the general welfare of residents.

According to him, the campaign would also seek to revive the state’s tourism sector through public-private partnerships designed to create employment opportunities, particularly for young people.

On education, Tadurga said the ADC would address the challenge of out-of-school children and improve the quality of learning through what he described as a robust education policy.

He said the proposed policy would support the effective implementation of education-for-all programmes across the state.

Tadurga also assured residents that the campaign team would take its message to communities across Kebbi, stressing that no community would be neglected during the electioneering process.

He urged voters to assess the ADC based on its programmes and policies ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The campaign director said the party would engage residents across the state on issues affecting their daily lives, while presenting its plans for improving development outcomes in Kebbi.
