A youth organisation affiliated with the All Progressives Congress, the Renewed Hope for Youth Development and Empowerment Initiative, says it plans to mobilise 10,000 young people nationwide to support President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The group also announced a target of securing 20 million votes for Tinubu across the country’s 774 local government areas.
Speaking at the launch of the initiative in Abuja on Sunday, its President, Abayomi Odediran, said trained youth ambassadors would be deployed across the states to engage Nigerians and communicate what the group described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration.
Odediran said the organisation was prepared to support Tinubu’s return, adding that its activities would extend to wards across the 774 local government areas.
“The party has nothing to worry about. RHYDEI is ready and fully prepared to work for the return of the President. We will work to ensure the President gets 20 million votes across the country.
“We shall take Renewed Hope to every ward in the 774 LGAs. From Sokoto to Bayelsa, from Borno to Lagos. This is how we are going to achieve it.”
He said the 10,000 youth ambassadors would take the group’s message to Nigerians through direct engagement on the streets, in markets and across social media platforms.
“Another way we intend to achieve this is through our ambassadors. We are mobilising 10,000 youths across all states to defend the President’s achievements on the streets, social media and in the markets,” he said.
Odediran further disclosed that the initiative would work with Federal Government agencies to provide skills acquisition opportunities, grants and loans to at least one million young people before the 2027 election.
“We will show them that Renewed Hope is working,” he said.
The announcement comes as various youth organisations supporting Tinubu step up mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
