Yahaya Bello Returns To Kogi Amid Death Rumours

There have been unconfirmed rumours and speculations that the governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, is dead.

Rumours emerged in some sections of social media of the governor’s deteriorating health condition, while some even went ahead to report that he has passed on.

However, Governor Bello was seen on Wednesday, July 26, in Lokoja after he returned from several official engagements in the (Federal Capital Territory) Abuja, where he attended public and private meetings.

AIT News reports that a jubilant crowd around the Koton Karfe area of the state welcomed the governor as he made his way to Government House, Lokoja.

Bello debunked the wild spread rumour, describing it as the handiwork of people with bad intentions.

He stressed that he was never sick and remained hale and hearty since he left for Abuja for some crucial engagements.

He assured citizens that after week-long meetings in Abuja, he would resume his duty fully with a renewed vigour of stamping out crimes from the state.
