The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the November 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo state, Agboola Alfred Ajayi, has promised better welfare for workers in the state if elected into power.
He assured them that the PDP administration if elected, into power in the state will enhance workers interest and welfare positively.
Ajayi, made this known in a goodwill message to workers on the occasion of the Workers Day celebration, issued on Wednesday by Spokesperson of the Agboola Ajayi Campaign Group, Samuel Ogunmusi.
While appraising the workers “for serving the state with might and strength, even when they have just little to show for their effort,” the former deputy governor boosted that the past administration in which he served as the deputy governor pushed the state’s Internally Generated Revenue from a paltry N1b monthly, to its present N3b.
He said “the time is almost here for workers in our dear state to begin to get befitting reward for their daily toils and unwavering effort to ensure the state survives economically”
Declaring that a PDP government will “not only ensure you get wage in tandem with your commendable output, Agboola said his government will equally ensure that goods and services are also affordable throughout the state.
“There are programmes in place to ensure guaranteed better lives for workers in active service and after retirement.
“We are not oblivious of your challenges as workers in the state, but be assured that, a new dawn is almost here when the PDP government with a human face shall berth to put smiles on all faces”.
