Woman apprehended for trafficking teenager to Libya

 

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have apprehended Abike Olonade on charges of trafficking a teenager.

This development was confirmed in an official statement released by the command via its social media platform on Saturday.

The victim, a 16-year-old student at Adeoye Lambo Secondary School in Obada Oko, was reportedly trafficked to Libya, as per the confession made by the suspect.

The post read, “Suspected child trafficking: May 11, 2024. One Abike Olonade has been arrested for trafficking a 16-year-old student of Adeoye Lambo Secondary School in Obada Oko Ogun State. She confessed that the victim have been trafficked to Libya!”
