Wike allegedly insults Tinubu after DSS refused to clear him for ministerial position

The chances of Nysome Wike being appointed as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may have been dashed as sources say the Department of State Service (DSS) has refused to clear the former Rivers state governor.

Wike has been tipped to be rewarded by Tinbu for his role in the victory of the APC presidential candidate in River state.

Although, he has met stiff resistance from APC stalwarts in Rivers states, including Magnus Abe and Tonye Cole, who have been eying the same ministerial positions.

Sources say Wike was visibly angry after being told of the failure of the DSS to clear him and resorted to insulting the President.

It was gathered that Wike allegedly lost his cool and started yelling at the top of his voice claiming that after all the sacrifices and enemies he made to ensure Tinubu won, this is not how to pay him back.

It was also gathered that former Kano governor Abdullahi Ganduje was also not cleared for the Ministerial positions.
