Why Yorubas Are The Best People In The World

Renowned author and social commentator, Reno Omokri recently expressed his admiration for Yoruba culture and people, claiming that they are “the best in the world”, Starnews Nigeria reports.

In a statement posted on his verified Meta Account, Omokri highlighted the positivity and joy he sees in the Yoruba way of life, suggesting that if everyone on Earth embraced this approach, there would be no war, conflict, hatred, or animosity.

He marveled at Yoruba naming traditions, noting that names like “Jaiye” encourage a life filled with enjoyment and celebration, in stark contrast to negativity.

He attributed this joyful mentality to the reason why people from all over Nigeria and beyond gravitate to Lagos and the Southwest, seeking to partake in the Yoruba spirit of celebration and merriment.

He even pointed out that Yoruba culture is so infectious that other Africans often refer to Nigerians with an understanding that they mean Yoruba people who know how to bring the party wherever they go.

He described the Yoruba language as a delight to listen to, with its rhythmic quality that makes you want to dance just by hearing it.

Omokri emphasized that Yoruba people don’t take life too seriously, celebrating both life and death with equal enthusiasm.

He mentioned iconic Yoruba music that can instantly lift one’s spirits and expressed a desire for everyone to embrace the brighter side of life, following the Yoruba example.
