Why we need your intervention in Ikale land, Concerned Citizen writes Erelu Oodua

By Adeyemi Ogungbemi

In one of our numerous talks, you told me you loath Nigeria politics and never stop expressing your disdain for the maladministration of our leaders.

It’s hightime you brought your progressively roaring voice to the fore to halt the marginalization of our people at home. The Ikale had been marginalized by two successive governments now and our purported leaders are silent about it.

We need you to add your voice for the liberation of our land. Truth be told, Awa_LA_N_Se_Arawa in so many ways. Our people easily conspire and preach hatred against whoever tries to beat the gong of emancipation and sing the songs of liberation.

I know we are the reasons why these Shanganians are throttling us unto the destination of retrogression. They have divided us with positions and money. Most Ikales in the echelons of power are only there to bruise their egos and satisfy their personal interests. Even most of the youths coming on board had been infected with poison of self-aggrandizement.

You’re the Lioness roaring in the wilderness and all forest creatures are thrown into pandemonium. You strike like thunder and all ears tingle. You’re a Python that spits out the venom of truth and all chameleonic snakes cease sipping from our Commonwealth.

We need you to use the same energy dissipated to bring respect and honour to our royal institution to help us out of this deliberate neglect.

People might hate you for who you are and what you stand for. But posterity and providence will not be unkind to you and your generation.
