Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has highlighted the significance of women in leadership, noting that they consistently support one another, work collaboratively, and discharge their responsibilities with diligence to advance the nation.

The First Lady made these remarks during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Directorate of State Security (DSS), led by the Deputy Director-General, Mrs Afolashade Adekayaoja, at the State House Presidential Villa.

Commending the DSS for ensuring gender balance within its ranks, she reaffirmed her dedication to empowering women in Nigeria, stressing that her advocacy in this regard remains steadfast.

“His administration’s priority is to empower women and ensure their active participation in decision-making at all levels because it emphasizes the importance of recognizing and rewarding the tireless contributions of hardworking women in various sectors.

“Leadership positions held by women serve as a representation of other women across the country.”

She further noted that “women in leadership have a penchant to support each other, work collaboratively, and discharge their responsibilities diligently to ensure progress for the nation.”
