Why Tinubu Pictures Are Missing in Abia Govt Offices – Governor Otti

The absence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s portraits in certain offices of the Abia State Government has been clarified by the state government.

The state Governor Dr. Alex Otti dismissed claims that this absence reflects a lack of recognition of Tinubu as Nigeria’s President.

Ferdinand Ekeoma, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor, spoke on behalf of Governor Otti and explained that while some offices do have the president’s portraits, not all offices currently display them.

This situation is also true for the governor’s portraits.

Ekeoma emphasized that this absence is not politically motivated but rather a result of the government being new and still in the process of setting up offices.

He further pointed out that during a meeting with permanent secretaries, the banquet hall still had the portrait of the former Governor Ikpeazu.

Ekeoma refuted the allegations that the absence of President Tinubu’s portraits was a deliberate act of non-recognition.

He stated that it would be nonsensical and illogical to suggest that a duly sworn-in president would not be acknowledged.

The government firmly believes that such claims are baseless and likely sponsored by the opposition in an attempt to discredit Governor Otti.

By clarifying the reasons behind the absence of President Tinubu’s portraits, the Abia State Government seeks to dispel any misconceptions and ensure that the truth is known.

They maintain that the government is committed to upholding the proper protocols and acknowledgments of the presidency.

The statement read, ” The absence of portraits in certain offices is simply a reflection of the government’s current transitional phase and its efforts to establish a new administration.

” Furthermore, the government intends to rectify the situation by placing additional portraits in the offices where they are currently lacking.

“They have already taken steps to acquire more pictures to ensure that the appropriate representations are displayed throughout the Government House.”
