Former National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan has acknowledged hearing rumours about discussions between the presidential candidates of the PDP, NNPP, and Labour Party regarding a potential alliance in the event of a court-ordered rerun of the 2023 presidential election.

In an interview with Channels TV, Ologbondiyan was asked if he had heard about the rumours of a possible collaboration among the PDP, NNPP, and Labour Party. Reacting to the question, Ologbondiyan said he heard the rumors that the three parties are planning to ally and field a single candidate if there is a rerun however he doesn’t have all the facts.

In his words: “Yes, I have heard such rumours. I can’t speak to it because I don’t have all the facts, but It is common knowledge even on the street. It has been reported that there are such arrangements to make sure the three strong opposition parties come together to make sure they achieve a purpose, and the purpose is that in case there is a rerun they can field a candidate. People even talk about the fact that the presidential candidate of our party, Atiku Abubakar paid a visit to the presidential candidate of NNPP, Kwankwaso. All those are in public space and people are deliberating expectedly on them”.
