Shehu Sani, the former Senator of Kaduna Central, has decided not to take up the position of judge for the Miss World Nigeria Beauty Pageant, which is set to take place on April 4, 2025, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
The news of his appointment was first shared by event organizer Senator Ben Bruce, who had worked alongside Sani during their time in the 8th National Assembly.
Bruce took to social media to congratulate Sani on his new role, asking him to arrive on time for the event and dress in fine attire.
However, Sani responded on social media, explaining that he would not be able to accept the position.
He thanked Bruce for the offer but cited personal reasons for his decision.
Sani humorously mentioned that his wives would not be pleased if he judged beauty between others, as he struggles to decide on who is the most beautiful among them.
He also stated that he didn’t possess the necessary experience for judging such an event and explained that the pageant’s date overlapped with the Sallah period, a time he prefers to spend with family.
Sani concluded his message with an apology for any inconvenience his decision might cause and wished the event organizers and participants success.
