Why I Can’t Help Tinubu’s Government – Emir Sanusi

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has stated that he will not assist President Bola Tinubu’s administration in addressing its policies, which have caused difficulties for Nigerians.

Speaking at an event on Wednesday, the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of credible individuals in the government who can clarify its decisions to the public.

Sanusi acknowledged that the current economic challenges stem partly from mismanagement by past administrations but stressed that it is up to the government to explain its actions.

He added that he had initially offered support but decided to step back, leaving the administration to take responsibility for its policies, Naija News reports.

The Emir also noted that while some of the hardships may have been predictable or avoidable, it is the government’s duty to address citizens’ concerns and justify its decisions.
