Why I Am Bringing Back Railway Transportation in Osun – Adeleke

The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, recounted a personal experience from his youth in which his father used to travel with him and his siblings on a train journey from Enugu to Ede town in Osun State.

 

He shared this during an interview with Channels Tv news, expressing his desire to reintroduce railway transportation in the state. He revealed that he has engaged in discussions with the Minister of Transportation, to initiate the project.

 

Adeleke emphasized the appeal of railway transportation, citing its advantages. He reflected on his upbringing, highlighting that his family would take train trips from Enugu to their hometown in Ede, a journey that brought them closer together and offered convenience.

 

He conveyed his ongoing conversations with potential railway partners, focusing on collaborative efforts to make this vision a reality. He acknowledged his predecessor, who is now the Minister of Transportation, and expressed his willingness to cooperate in achieving their shared goal.

 

With the intention of revitalizing railway services in Osun State, Governor Adeleke has drawn inspiration from his own past. He believes that by leveraging the potential of railway transportation, the state can benefit from enhanced connectivity and improved travel experiences.

 

Through interactions with the Minister of Transportation and other stakeholders, he is actively pursuing avenues to initiate and develop this ambitious project, signaling a collaborative approach to its execution.
