We’ve arrested 428 suspected criminals in Lagos black spots in one week —Police

Lagos State Police Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed on Monday that 428 suspected criminals were apprehended within a week from various black spots across the state.

Hundeyin emphasized that these arrests occurred during daily raids around 11:15 a.m., with individuals cleared of wrongdoing released after screening, while others faced court charges.

The spokesperson specified that the operations targeted areas including Fagba, Orile, Mile-2, Oshodi, Dopemu, Alausa, and Ijora Badia, among others.

These efforts involved collaboration between area commands, divisions, and tactical teams like the Rapid Response Squad.

Over the past four months, around 2,500 suspected criminals have been arrested as part of a concerted effort to combat criminal activities, following directives from the state Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, aimed at curbing the activities of miscreants in Lagos.
