Nigeria’s President-Elect, Bola Tinubu has returned to the country after over one month away in Europe with PICC on his vein at the upper arm of his right hand.
The aircraft that conveyed the former Lagos State governor touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 04:30pm on Monday.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, who was officially out of Nigeria since March 22, returned about one month before his inauguration on May 29, 2023.
He returned with his wife, Senator Oluremi; and they were received by the Vice-President-Elect, Kashim Shettima; Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; amongst many other high-ranking members of the party.
Channels TV reports that the President-Elect was received by a cheery crowd of supporters decked up in party paraphernalia.
While wavering to the crowd, Starnews Nigeria can report that the PICC on his vein at the upper arm of his right hand was exposed which indicates that all was not well with the president’s health as speculated by some media outlets.

It was a confirmation that the president was actually out of the country for medical treatment contrary to reports given by his media aides that the president-elect traveled to rest abroad.
Starnews Nigeria reports that PICC is a thin, flexible tube that is inserted into a vein in the upper arm and guided (threaded) into a large vein above the right side of the heart called the superior vena cava. It is used to give intravenous fluids, blood transfusions, chemotherapy, and other drugs.
Tinubu headed to his vehicle after a brief stop to address the cheers of his supporters.
