Unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped an Anglican priest, Rev Agbadamashi Emmanuel, his wife and children.
The incident occurred along the East-West road by Evwreni junction on Friday, October 6.
It was gathered that the cleric and his family were travelling from Ughelli to Uwheru community, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, when they were abducted.
As of the time of this report, the cleric and his family are still in captivity.
The Public Relations Officer of the Anglican Communion, Ughelli Diocese, Hon Justice Iyasere, confirmed the report.
He, however, could not confirm if the kidnappers had made any ransom demand.
When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, promised to get more information from the police division.
