Uncertainty as corpse disappears at Ondo Hospital

There is tension at Osi town in Akure North local government area, at Oba-Ile Southwest of Ondo State and the State UNIMED Teaching Hospital over the alleged disappearance of the body of late Mrs Olajumoke Julianah Ogunsuyi at the hospital’s mortuary.

Trouble started when family members of Mrs Ogunsuyi got to the hospital this morning to carry her body for burial ceremony but after waiting for several hours, it was discovered that her body was missing at the morgue.

SUNSHINETRUTH gathered from a family source that mortuary attendants and hospital officials are currently facing police investigation as it was gathered that the body of Mrs Ogunsuyi had been exchanged for another family at Oba Akoko.

According to burial arrangements, Mrs Ogunsuyi’s lying-in-state, Christian wake and other ceremony supposed to hold today Friday August 4 and tomorrow Saturday at her residence in Osi in Akure North council area.

Mrs Olajumoke died at the age of 63.

The development, it was learnt, has caused apprehension at Oba-Akoko.
