Mutiu Adeyemo, 50, and Michael Omidiji, 44, were brought before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Monday, accused of stealing a bus owned by the Oyo State government.
The men, whose addresses were not disclosed, were charged with conspiracy and theft. They pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Prosecutor Sikiru Opaleye reported that the alleged crime took place on February 20 at 9:30 p.m. in the Ikoloba area of Ibadan.
He claimed that the defendants took the bus, worth N12 million, from its parking spot without authorization from the state government.
