Trump Suggests Palestinians Have No Choice But to Leave Gaza

Former President Donald Trump has stated that Palestinians have “no alternative” but to leave Gaza due to the devastation caused by the ongoing war with Israel.

According to Afripost, Trump, speaking ahead of a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reiterated his controversial suggestion that Palestinians could be resettled in Jordan and Egypt, despite both nations rejecting such proposals.

Trump described Gaza as a “pure demolition site” after months of conflict and questioned why anyone would want to return. He suggested that many Palestinians would prefer to leave, claiming, “I would think that they would be thrilled” to find a safer, more livable place.

He proposed finding new areas, including Jordan and Egypt, where displaced Palestinians could be resettled in what he characterized as “beautiful” and “safe” environments. “Gaza’s been a disaster for decades,” Trump remarked, adding that the region was unsuitable for people to live in.

When asked about the reaction of Palestinian and Arab leaders to his plan, Trump said, “I don’t know how they could want to stay.” He further suggested that the idea of returning to Gaza after reconstruction should not be a priority, expressing the hope that the displaced would choose not to go back.

This statement has sparked strong reactions from Palestinians and neighboring countries, who oppose any plans for the forced relocation of Gaza’s population.
