Tinubu Sends Easter Message To Nigerians, Prays For Pope Francis’ Recovery

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent warm Easter greetings to Christians in Nigeria and around the world, marking the season as a time to reflect on love, sacrifice, and hope.

In his Easter message, Tinubu reminded Nigerians of the true meaning of the celebration—the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ—and the values it represents.

He spoke about the importance of the Holy Week, which begins with Palm Sunday and ends on Easter Sunday, saying it offers a chance for everyone to think deeply about renewal and the power of hope.

The President said he draws strength from these ideas as he works toward building a better Nigeria.

Addressing the current challenges facing the country, Tinubu said he is aware of the pain and fear caused by recent violent events that claimed lives in some areas.

He stated that the government is not backing down in its fight to restore peace, and that clear instructions have been given to security agencies to act swiftly.

According to him, the courage of the armed forces is helping the country push back against insecurity, and progress is being made in restoring calm to troubled regions.

The President also spoke about the economy, saying that although many citizens are going through tough times, the government is working hard to fix the situation.

He mentioned that signs of economic improvement are beginning to show, and efforts are ongoing to attract investors and create an economy that works for everyone.

As Christians celebrate Easter, Tinubu joined the global Christian community in expressing gratitude for the recovery of Pope Francis.

He said he hopes the Pope’s strength will continue to support his leadership in the church and beyond.

The President ended his message by urging Nigerians to remain hopeful and united. He said just as Jesus overcame death, Nigeria will also overcome its present difficulties.

He called on everyone to keep their faith strong, reminding them that the cloudy season will eventually give way to brighter days.

Tinubu wished all Nigerians a peaceful and joyful Easter, praying for unity and progress across the country.
