Tinubu Honours Mele Kyari at 60

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has recognized the efforts of Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), as he turns 60 on January 8.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga.

Kyari’s leadership at NNPCL has driven notable advancements, including reviving two refineries, increasing oil production to 1.8 million barrels daily, and boosting domestic gas consumption.

These strides have reshaped the NNPCL into a more productive entity.

The President acknowledged Kyari’s impactful contributions to the nation’s energy sector and his role in steering the company through significant reforms.

He also extended prayers for Kyari’s continued health and ability to guide future energy leaders.
