Tinubu Appoints Four New Members to NCDMB Governing Council

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of four key nominees to the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), aimed at filling existing vacancies and boosting the board’s operational capacity.

The announcement was made on Thursday, March 27, through a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

According to the statement, the newly appointed members include Mr. Olusegun Omosehin of the National Insurance Commission and Engr. Wole Ogunsanya, who represents the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria.

Also appointed are Mr. Sam Onyechi from the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum and Barrister Owei Oyanbo of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.

The statement emphasized that the appointments were necessitated by the exit of previous institutional representatives and are in accordance with Section 69 of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act, 2010.

The NCDMB Governing Council is composed of representatives from critical industry institutions, including the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, Nigerian Content Consultative Forum, and the National Insurance Commission.

President Tinubu urged the newly appointed members to apply their expertise and commitment in advancing the country’s local content development within the oil and gas sector.
