Terrorists kill soldiers at military checkpoint on outskirts of Abuja

Some soldiers have been reportedly killed in heavy and sustained attack by terrorists on a military checkpoint at Zuma Rock, metres away from the Federal Capital Territory on the Abuja – Kaduna Expressway.

A military source has confirmed this to AIT.live. It was however unclear whether the troops repelled the attack.

This is coming just three days after no fewer than eight military personnel including two officers of the elite Brigade of Guards were killed in an ambush by terrorists on there way from the Nigerian Law School in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.

The Defence Headquarters has said no fewer than 30 of the terrorists were killed in in a follow-up operation

Nigerian soldiers should know by now that they are in a war situation. Most of them usually chat while on guard duty. They should act professionally by ensuring they stop all such things.
This is war and they should prosecute it as such.
