Tension in Calabar As Men Battle Disappearance of Private Part

The residents of Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, are currently experiencing a strong sense of worry and fear due to the overwhelming claims of male private organs disappearing.

According to the Vanguard, in the past few weeks, what began as a mere rumor in distant lands has gradually made its way into numerous households within the city. It seems impossible to find anyone who doesn’t know someone claiming to have had their private organ harvested after a simple handshake or contact with strangers.

The prevailing questions on many people’s minds are: who is behind the disappearance of male genitals, what is their motive, and what fate awaits those who have lost their private organs? Are these claims genuine, or are individuals merely creating chaos within the city?

Attempting to address the growing concerns, the Cross River State Government, through its Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang, issued a statement dismissing these claims as false.

Their stance was further supported by Ms. Irene Ugbo, the Cross River State Police Command Public Relations Officer, who attributed these allegations to mischief makers. She urged the public to carry on with their daily activities without fear.

Despite these reassurances, the residents are still hesitant to fully trust the police and the state government. The town continues to be engulfed in uproar every few hours, with reports of yet another male private organ disappearing.

It has been reported that over fifteen cases have occurred in various parts of the town, with some victims having their organs returned by the culprits while others remain without restitution.

During an interview with reporters, a spare parts dealer named Chibuike revealed that the price of a stolen organ had increased from six hundred thousand naira to one million naira due to market forces and high demand.

He explained that these organs are utilized for ritual purposes, with anyone who falls victim to organ theft dying a few days later. He emphasized that unless authorities take decisive action to halt this horrifying trend, more individuals will undoubtedly suffer.

To protect themselves, men in Calabar now resort to placing bitter kola and alligator pepper in their pockets or holding their private organs tightly while walking on the streets or inside public vehicles. The increased demand has also driven up the price of bitter kola.

Cases of organ disappearance have allegedly occurred in Moore Road, Atimbo, Nyahasang, Ekpo Abasi, Satellite Town, 8 Miles, Atakpa/Mayne Avenue, Watt Market, and other locations within the city.

A concerned resident of Calabar South, Blessing Ngi, reported a recent incident in her area on State Avenue near Afokang. In this particular case, a man lost his genitalia, and the culprit was subjected to a severe beating before eventually returning the stolen organ.
