— Campaign DGs express misgivings
Tension is building up ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s governorship primary in Ondo State as some party leaders are currently grumbling over no arrival of electoral materials.
The primary which is scheduled to hold tomorrow, Aprill 20, 2024, across all the electoral wards in Ondo State is meant to produce the governorship candidate of the party ahead of the state gubernatorial election in November 16, this year.
Campaign directors of top governorship aspirants who spoke to Starnews NG off record have started expressing misgivings about the absence of electoral materials ahead of the exercise tomorrow.
“No hope in sight for electoral materials, our agent is still waiting, APC has started again, it looks they want to do abracadabra tomorrow”, one of them told our correspondent.
“APC with poor internal democracy, till this moment, we are yet to hear any news about the arrival of electoral materials. I suspect they just want to write figures as usual”, another campaign director said.
On inquiry from another person who is the Director-General of campaign to a top aspirant, he said, “only God knows what they plan to do. It is true that electoral materials are yet to arrive as at the last time I spoke with our agent. No one will sleep tonight. We are all waiting to see what they plan to do.”
