Supreme Court Dismisses ’25 per cent of FCT’ Argument Against Atiku, Obi

 

 

The Supreme Court has declared that election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot be annulled because of his failure to secure 25 per cent of the votes in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

The Court gave the ruling while delivering its judgment in the appeal filed by former Vice President and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP against the ruling of lower court affirming the victory of President Bola Tinubu, in the February 25, presidential election.
