A student activist, Olorunfemi Adeyeye, who was suspended by the University of Lagos, (UNILAG) in 2016, for leading a mass protest against poor infrastructure on campus, has now graduated after seven years.
Starnews Nigeria gathered that Adeyeye alongside some student activists sometime on April 6, 7, and 8, 2016, protested the conditions of living and learning at the University of Lagos
According to Adeyeye, the protest was a result of poor electricity and water supplies, noting that students had to buy sachet of water bags to have their baths on campus.
He added that the offence for which he was suspended did not exist anywhere in the handbook of the University of Lagos but was smuggled into the 2016- 2017 handbook.
