- You said you had a server and told us how much u spent on it – FFK reminds INEC
A former aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani Kayode has blasted the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for insisting it has no servers used for the conduct of the 2019 general elections, Starnews reports.
The former aviation boss accused INEC of speaking with both sides of the mouth over the existence of Servers for the conduct of 2019 general elections.
Recall that Starnews reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) insisted that it had no electronic server being sought to be accessed and inspected by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate in the February 23, 2019 presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku and the PDP are challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari and his All Progressives Congress at the last presidential election in Nigeria.
They told the presidential election petition tribunal in Abuja that they won the 2019 presidential election based on the data obtained from INEC’s server, adding that, “the true, actual and correct results from INEC servers showed that they polled a total of 18,356,732 votes to defeat president Buhari whom they said scored 16,741,430 votes.
They asked the court to grant them permission to have access to inspect the Commission’s servers to establish proof that they won the 2019 election but INEC insisted that they did not have any servers the PDP is requesting to access; insisting they did not use any servers for the conduct of the last presidential election.
Reacting to the claim by the commission that it has no servers, Fani-Kayode tweeted on his verified Twitter page, saying:
“You said you had a server and told us how much u spent on it. U complained that others had illegally gained access to it and that they ought to be arrested. Yet when the matter got to court u changed the story and said u have no server. What type of strange abracadabra is this?.”
“Pl stop playing Russian roullete with the future of our country. Peoples eyes are open and we are sitting on a keg of gunpowder right now. If care is not taken you will pull the trigger and ignite a monuemental and cataclysmic explosion the likes of which have never been seen”, he told INEC.
