EURO 2024

-The Portuguese Football Federation has asked UEFA to increase security around the pitches at EURO 2024. This is due to 6 fans invading the field trying to get a selfie with Cristiano Ronaldo yesterday.

-Spain risk violating German law due to Lamine Yamal’s participation in matches. German regulations prohibit U18s from working past 20:00, but athletes can play until 23:00, including time for showering and media duties. If Yamal plays the full match against Albania, it would be difficult to comply with the law and Spain could face a fine.

-Cristiano Ronaldo has fired off more shots (9) than any other player at EURO 2024.

-Romelu Lukaku has missed more clear-cut goalscoring opportunities (4) than any other player at EURO 2024.

-The only goalkeepers to have kept a clean sheet in both EURO 2024 matches are: Mike Maignan(France) and Unai Simon (Spain).

-Manchester United are set to renew their attempts to sign Everton centre back Jarrad Branthwaite.

-Como 1907 are preparing an offer for Matt Hummels with a salary around €3m including bonuses.

Only five top clubs are still in consideration for him; Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona. With about €20m gross per year, he is one of the top earners at Bayern.

-Amadou Onana is Barcelona’s favourite option for the pivot position, but it’ll be difficult because of his valuation.

-Ian Maatsen will be Aston Villa player on £37.5m deal from Chelsea. Agreement reached on 6 year contract valid until June 2030 with salary agreed and medical also completed.
Chelsea receive £37.5m fee and sign Omari Kellyman for £19m in separated deal from Aston Villa.

-Olympique Lyon enter in the race to sign Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle. OL made contact with Minteh’s camp in the recent hours, he’s part of the shortlist.

-Ajax are set to complete Jorthy Mokio deal on Monday, medical tests booked and contract to be signed until June 2027.
16 year old talented centre back says yes to Ajax proposal despite three more clubs keen on signing him.

-Chelsea are set to sign 2005 talent Omari Kellyman on £19m deal. Chelsea will sign Kellyman from Aston Villa in separate deal from Ian Maatsen, who’s joining Villa for £37.5m.
Kellyman will undergo medical tests on Monday ahead of permanent move to Chelsea, contract also agreed.
