Vice President Kashim Shettima left Abuja for Switzerland on Sunday to represent Nigeria at the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos.
The gathering will bring together global leaders, business executives, and development partners to address the state of the world economy.
Shettima’s schedule includes workshops such as “Roadmap to Co-create Investment Opportunities for Africa’s Frontier Markets,” aimed at boosting investment in African economies, Punch reports.
He will also co-chair a session on digital trade’s role in advancing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Additionally, the Vice President will engage in bilateral talks, participate in a global risks dialogue, and attend a dinner for world leaders and other dignitaries.
He is accompanied by key officials, including the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, and the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission’s Executive Secretary.
Shettima is expected to return to Abuja after concluding his engagements.
