Shehu Sani Reacts As FG Borrows $80 Million To Fund Ekiti Knowledge Zone Project

A human rights activist and former senator representing Kaduna central senatorial district, Shehu Sani has shared his view on the decision of the Federal Government to borrow 80 Million dollars from the African Development Bank for the Ekiti Knowledge Zone Project.

In a post on his official X page, formally known as Twitter, the Senator disclosed that he is not against the Federal Government’s decision to borrow such an amount of money to fund the project, he acknowledged that the federal government’s move in this direction is a great one.

However, he suggested that instead of spending that amount of money on that project alone, he advised the Federal Government to spread that sum of money to selected Universities and Polytechnics across the geopolitical zone in the country in order to achieve a similar objective.

Shehu Sani simply wrote: “I’m not opposed to the FG borrowing $80milllion from the African Development Bank for the EKITI KNOWLEDGE ZONE project. The project is a great idea. My question is why not spread that Sum of money to SELECTED Unifversities and Polytechnics across the geographical zones in the country to achieve the same goal,” he said.
