Senator Tofowomo weeps, mourns victims of Owo terrorists’ attack

Sympathises with Akeredolu, Owo Community

Sen Nicholas Tofowomo, the Lawmaker representing Ondo South at the Senate, on Sunday shed tears after watching the video of the terrorists’ attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The Senator who could not hold bag his tears on Sunday evening begged aggrieved Nigerians who have turned to kidnappers, bandits, and terrorists to stop the killing of innocent souls and allow Nigerians to live in harmony. According to him, “most of the victims of terrorists’ attacks in Nigeria are innocent Nigerians who have not committed any crime.”

He mourned the victims of the massacre and expressed sympathy with Gov Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, His Royal Majesty, the Olowo of Owo, and the good people of Owo community.

He described the incident as the greatest shock of his life.

“Jesus! What is this o Lord? Why this killing of innocent souls inside the house of God? Yeah, haaaa, (weeping profusely). I am shocked at this video! These people should just please stop killing innocent souls. I beg all the aggrieved Nigerians who have turned to kidnappers, bandits, terrorists and all sorts of criminals for one reason or the other to stop killing innocent Nigerians. They should just tell the government what they want and allow Nigerians to leave in harmony.”

“This is getting too much in Nigeria. No one is safe anymore. Our government has lost it. Security is no longer guaranteed. How can people leave their houses to worship God and could not come back home again because of insecurity in the country? With insecurity in the country, no investor is ready to invest in any part of Nigeria anymore. The naira keeps falling every day because investors are taking their money and running away.”

“I sympathise with Governor Akeredolu and the Olowo of Owo over this tragedy. My condolences to all the bereaved families and the good people of Owo community. May God put an end to this evil in Nigeria”, the Senator lamented.

Signed
