Sadiq Wali emerges Kano PDP factional gov candidate

The eldest son of Ambassador Aminu Wali, Alhaji Sadiq Wali, has won the factional PDP governorship primaries conducted on Wednesday night.

Wali polled 455 to beat other contestants such as the serial governorship contender, Ibrahim El Amin Little, who scored 322 votes to become second in the race.

Yusuf Dangwani had 276 votes while Mustapha Getso and Jafa’ar Bello polled 25 votes each.

Muhyi Magaji Rimingado and Mu’azu Magaji Dan Sarauniyya have withdrewn from the governorship contest.In an interview with some of the aspirants who did not want their names mentioned, they described the contest as free and fair and promised to cooperate with the candidate to support him win the general election.
