Pastor Johnson Oluwatomisin Kalejaiye, popularly known as Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye, is the Special Assistant to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Evangelism. He was born to the family of Kalejaiye in Igboguerin Community of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State. He is an instrument in the hands of God. God has used him to liberate thousands from the oppression of the devil through his popular anointing service.
Today, the Man of God who believes there is nothing any man of God can do without the God of man is 60 years old. On his 60th birthday, it is necessary to celebrate him and remind him of the few things he has done to better the lives of others.
Pastor J.T Kalejaiye in the vineyard of God
Pastor Kalejaiye is a fisher of Men – an evangelist of international repute. He is neither a General Overseer nor a founder of any church. As a pastor of RCCG, who assists the general overseer on Evangelism, he has won thousands of souls for Jesus Christ.
As at three years ago when I visited him, he told me he has set a new target for himself in soul winning. He increased the target of soul winning from Ten Thousand Souls For Christ to Fifteen Thousand Souls for Christ every month. That was three years ago. Only God knows his current target now. But whatever it is, he has always surpassed his target to depopulate the kingdom of darkness.
The man, Kalejaiye, cannot also be forgotten in the demonstration of the supernatural power of God through his anointing service. Through him, God has worked many miracles and did amazing things for people under his ministration.
Quotable quote of Pastor J.T Kalejaiye
God has used him in soul-lifting through quotable quotes. I am part of the beneficiaries of his quotable quotes. His quotable quotes have opened the doors of encouragement for the body of Christ. His quotes have opened many people to learning, and personally, it has opened me to have an understanding of changing things I am not satisfied with. Pastor Kalejaiye’s quotes are also a great reinforcement tool that the body of Christ is using to their benefits.
Pastor J.T Kalejaiye is the real definition of Charity
The man of God is the real definition of charity, even at a time, Nigerians are having a second thought about pastors and churches due to the scandal that is rocking the body of Christ, the man of God, Pastor Kalejaiye, has continued to support the weak, and had countlessly distinguished himself by giving hope to the hopeless, without public notice and media attention.
Just like Starnews NG had published in their Editorial Opnion of December 23, 2019, Pastor J.T Kalejaiye, as he is popularly known, hasn’t founded any parallel church, so also has he headed any account department in RCCG, but out of his own volition and benevolence, from the little God has given him, he is renowned for helping the needy.
He gives out bags of rice regularly to people in every location. Most times, he would go for 5kg of bag of rice to widen the coverage of recipients. Whenever he does this, he would also distribute packs of Indomie in large numbers.
Also, he is into youth and women empowerment. In his home town, Igboguerin in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, he regularly gives out interest-free loans to a group of individuals in order to support their businesses; and the group of individuals would give out the same money to another group of individuals after 6 months of use to reach a large number of beneficiaries.
All students of Igboguerin are eating free food on every Wednesday, courtesy of the man of God, Pastor Kalejaiye. He currently puts 5 teachers on salary payroll and employs 11 security men to police his community to prevent crime and ensure the security of lives and properties in the town. All these have been going on now as part of his give back to the societies without media attention or public notice.
Asked what inspired him to be doing all these, he has this to say: ”I lost my father the year I was born. My mother became a widow and she passed through. I sold fufu etc. I made up my mind to always assist the widows and the needy. Sometimes, I empty my account to do this. Sometimes I sell my vehicles just to provide for the needy. My background prompted me to be a blessing to people ”, he said.
The Chartered Institute of Commerce of Nigeria (CICN) conferred Professional Doctorate Fellowship award on him in 2018 to recognise his contributions to national growth, outstanding leadership, and attainments that have uniquely impacted positively on the society and improved commerce in Nigeria.
Most interesting is the fact that Pastor Kalejaiye doesn’t embark on charity on seasonal basis. He gives to the needy regularly and not on seasonal basis as common in Nigeria.
Just like he said, he goes extra miles occasionally by selling his vehicles to put smiles on the faces of the people. He is doing all these to help others from his personal pulse. It is a rare trait, not common with Nigerians.
The man of God is an example of what he preaches. According to him: “There is a difference between being blessed and being a blessing.” He’s just a practical example of blessings to his generation.
Pastor Kalejaiye is a voice in community development
Pastor Kalejaiye is the principal architect behind the intervention of the Federal Government in the rehabilitation of electrical facilities in Ondo South through Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) under the chairmanship of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. As president and convener of Bring Back Our Light (BBOL) in Ondo South, I could remember how he visited the Vice President and did follow up on him severally to intervene in the darkness of Ondo South without public notice. He is not a politician and as such, he is a silent achiever who doesn’t seek glory of whatever he does for humanity.
His contributions over the breakthrough recorded in the struggle for power restoration, and his support to the success of the BBOL in the struggle to restore power to the good people of Ondo South cannot be quantified. I know the time to celebrate him on this would soon come.
Infrastructural development at Igboguerin, his home town?
One of his quotable quotes says: ”your connection can determine your collection”. This is manifesting presently in his home town as I write to commemorate his 60th birthday today.
Igboguerin community is currently the most developed town under the Ilaje Local Government of Ondo State in terms of infrastructures. To those who have visited the town recently, they would also attest to the fact that the community is also the most decent, and well-secured community in Ilaje LGA as at today – courtesy of the man of God and his uncle, the traditional ruler of Igboguerin, His Royal Highness, Oba Philip Olatunji Kalejaiye , the Odede of Igboguerin land.
Currently at Igboguerin, every notable streets have been tarred. All important drainages have been constructed. New blocks of classrooms for school were constructed, with some renovated, and some under renovation the last time I visited. I also saw many other ongoing projects like the construction of the town hall, Police Station, among other infrastructural projects. Some of the projects were being embarked upon by the Federal Government based on the influence of Pastor Kalejaiye who turned 60 years of age today.
On your 60th birthday, @ Pastor Kalejaiye, I wish you a celebration of a lifetime with love that never ends.
Happy birthday and congratulations as I struggle to remember all the precious things you have done to better lives at 60.
