Religious Corruption In Churches

Pst Olumide Akinrinlola

The end time is indeed here. Religious corruption is now the order of the day in some churches as introduced by some religious leaders across the world especially in Nigeria.

Some of the corruption they introduced to the churches are: sales of miracle anointed handkerchief, sales of miracle anointing oil, sales of miracle anointing waters. Etc.

All these are being done to make money. This act is called religious corruption. It is being perpetrated by fake pastors and ministers of God. No genuine man of God will sell to you miracle anointing oil. By their fruit, you shall know them. (Mathew 7:15-20).

I have never heard or read in the Bible where anointing, miracle or the power of God were sold for money. A Man of God can bless water, oil, handkerchief or any instruments of your work for you. But any church where such instruments are being sold as miracle anointed instruments, are den of thieves and robbers.

I do not say churches cannot sell oil, water, CDs, or books within church premises especially in their shops or bookshops. But what I am saying is that there is nothing like miracle anointing oil or miracle anointing water that are being sold to people. It’s unbliblical to anoint oil, handkerchief, or water for the body of Christ for commercial purposes.

You cannot buy the anointing of God and such cannot be traded for money. You can buy your oil and take it for anointing service or take to your pastor to pray on it for you. But any situation where any church put the oil on sales in their store or shop as miracle anointed oil, such act is not Christianity. It is a pure religious corruption. Not only that, such a Minister or pastor is operating a business center and not a church.

The Bible says :

“But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.” (Acts 8:20).

Jesus said to them :

“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Mathew 10:8). So, you cannot trade the gift of God for money. If anyone is doing God’s work, God will certainly bless him or her even without praying for such blessings.

I am not surprised that in this our generation, we now have worldly business men and women who have no genuine salvation; but they are now coming together, having fellowship in the name of social Christianity in order to advertise their product instead of preaching the gospel of Christ. This manner of people are into commercial businesses and not in the business of the gospel.

These set of people have turned the work of God to buying and selling. Fake and occult ministers are everywhere, doing miracle in the name of Jesus Christ.

Pls, don’t fall victim.

God is watching.. Repent now. The Judgement day is at hand.

Say : Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. Forgive me. (confess your sin) I accept you today as my Lord and Saviour, come into my life and remain there forever. Amen.
