Rainstorm Hits Nasarawa, Over 50 Homes Destroyed

A strong rainstorm hit the Mahanga community in Awe Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, on Friday night, causing widespread damage.

Over 50 homes were affected by the storm, with many roofs blown off and others collapsing entirely.

The community’s leader, James Arthur, has reached out to Governor Abdullahi Sule, the local government chairman, and other officials, asking for help.

Arthur explained that the storm caused severe damage to homes, infrastructure, and the local school, leaving many people without shelter.

The residents are urgently seeking relief materials, temporary shelters, and support to recover from the disaster.

The community is hopeful that swift action from the authorities will bring much-needed assistance during this difficult time.
