“Poor Knowledge of Court is Killing Nigeria” – Angry Kanu Speaks Out

In a heated exchange during the court proceedings, Nnamdi Kanu expressed his frustration over being brought before Justice Binta Nyako. He dismissed her statements as irrelevant and declared that he does not recognize the court’s authority under her leadership.

Kanu emphasized that he attended the court session out of respect for the legal process but pointed out that Justice Nyako had previously recused herself from his case. He voiced his dissatisfaction with the chief judge’s decision to return the matter to her, asserting that the prosecution lacks the grounds to continue against him.

The IPOB leader accused Justice Nyako of bias, claiming her involvement compromises the fairness of the proceedings. He further stated that the overall lack of understanding of legal matters is detrimental to Nigeria.

In response, the prosecution counsel raised objections to Kanu’s comments, requesting a specific date for the next hearing, especially since they had not submitted a written application. Awomolo argued that Kanu’s remarks were disrespectful to the court.

In light of Kanu’s objections, Justice Nyako ultimately decided to adjourn the case indefinitely.
