- As Olafeso Lambasts Aiyedatiwa Government for Poor Governance
By Miracle Ogunde
The deplorable condition of roads in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State is a pressing issue that cannot be ignored.
The roads have become a death trap for commuters, posing serious risks to their safety.
The current administration, led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has made little progress in terms of infrastructural development, particularly in road construction and rehabilitation.
Residents who spoke to Starnews NG said they’ve not experienced the benefits of democracy since this administration took office.
The situation worsens significantly during the rainy season, making it particularly difficult for commuters traveling along the roads linking Oba Akoko to Indoani and Imeri.
On Wednesday, Chief Eddy Olafeso, PhD, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, expressed his frustration over the dire state of the roads in Ose. He criticized the state government, stating that the current APC administration under Governor Aiyedatiwa has failed to improve the quality of life for ordinary citizens.
“It is truly pathetic that the present government has abandoned the people in the Akoko axis. The road conditions are horrendous. It’s shocking that Governor Aiyedatiwa isn’t taking any action to address the road infrastructure,” Olafeso stated.
“There is absolutely nothing this administration can point to as a developmental project for the people of the state. I wonder what they are campaigning for. These residents have been cut off from civilization; it’s incredibly sad,” he added.
Meanwhile, Olafeso assured that Agboola Àjàyí will work to change the narrative in the state, promising an inclusive government where no individual, tribe, or region will be left behind.
Recall that Starnews NG previously reported how residents of the Ese Odo community lamented alleged neglect by the state government, emphasizing that no developmental projects have been undertaken since the APC came to power.
